Today, I attended the second day of the Infoshare 2025 conference – this time choosing sessions entirely based on my personal interests. I went for a diverse range of topics, and it turned out to be a great decision. Below is a short recap of the most interesting talks I attended.
1. How to Build GenAI That Doesn’t Create Dependency
The team from mBank presented a refreshing perspective on building AI systems without falling into vendor lock-in. They shared their journey of developing a custom GenAI architecture that allows flexibility: choosing models, providers, and technologies freely. The key idea? AI should empower you with freedom – not trap you in one ecosystem. Their insights on scalable, adaptable AI design were both practical and visionary.
2. What Went Wrong? Can We Predict Price Changes in Tourism?
This was one of the most honest and self-critical talks of the day. The speaker shared lessons from over two years of work on predictive models for the organized travel segment – and everything that didn’t go as planned. From COVID-19 disrupting patterns, to poorly defined research questions, and the enormous complexity of modeling external factors like geopolitics and economics – but most of all, the real challenge was data. A great reminder that good AI starts with quality input.
3. Leadership in Human-AI Teams
As AI becomes more embedded in our workplaces, leadership must evolve. This talk focused on how leaders can build trust with AI systems, make informed decisions based on algorithmic recommendations, and develop new types of leadership skills for this hybrid reality. It ended with a fascinating paradox that actually enhances leadership effectiveness – definitely food for thought.
4. How AI Will Raise Future Generations
This session tackled the sensitive and crucial topic of AI’s influence on children and young people. Though broader in scope, it raised important questions around digital education, ethical design, and the responsibility of tech creators toward young users.
5. Be POMO! Strategies for Surviving the Information Smog
Magda Bigaj from the “Digital Citizenship Institute” delivered a powerful talk about digital fatigue, FOMO (fear of missing out), and the constant bombardment of information in our daily lives. She offered practical strategies for reclaiming your attention and time – reminding us that there is life beyond the screen, and you don’t necessarily have to quit social media to find balance. Her message was clear: stop wasting your talent online – your business (and brain) will thank you.
6. Beyond Expertise: Why the Future Belongs to Knowledge Synthesizers
This was my personal highlight of the day. In a world obsessed with specialization, this talk made the case for a new kind of innovator – the synthesist. These are people who combine expertise from unrelated fields to create unique, non-replicable value. From biodesign revolutionizing sustainable materials to digital therapeutics transforming healthcare, the speaker gave real examples and frameworks for how to start identifying your own “domain synthesis” opportunities. A truly inspiring vision of what the future of work and innovation might look like.
7. AI Will Take Your Job! How AI Is Revolutionizing Front-End Development
A tech-heavy session to wrap up the day. The speaker explored how AI tools are transforming the front-end development process – from faster code generation and refactoring, to automated testing and collaboration. The key message: AI doesn’t replace developers, it empowers them. Practical tools and use cases showed how to integrate AI effectively and unlock faster delivery, better quality, and competitive advantage for businesses.
Summary
Day two of Infoshare 2025 was a powerful mix of technology, psychology, future-thinking, and hands-on innovation. Yes, AI was everywhere – but so was the human perspective.
