Denmark trip

It was very long time, as I wrote on this blog. I never suspected that I experience such chaos in my life like it was last half of a year. Just after returning from China trip, I came back to work and at the beggining of September, I found out that my father had a stroke and was paralysed. That was a shock for all of us. He spent 6 weeks in the hospital, including rehab. For us it was really challenging time – I took care of his dog, car, garden. I was trying to juggle work, taking care of my father’s affairs, hospital visits, and looking after the children all at the same time.
For me it was extremly hard, finally I had big problems at work, couldn’t concentrate at all. At work, people were unknowingly helping me. I thought that it would not be such a big deal, but being software developer at this time was just very hard. Sometime later I was diagnosed with depression. Thanks God meds worked for me almost at once. Thanks to that I had chance to work in some way – however during this time, I made lots of mistakes, which finally I had fixed recently. My boss gave me the opportunity to go to Denmark for additional training. Then I saw where I made mistakes, on which points I should concentrate and improve them. I saw also the power of vibe coding and using AI for helping at work. I must admit that Microsoft Copilot in cooperative with corporate knowledge is really powerful. Just now my aim is to use it in more sophisticated way and learn more about usage of different AI models.

And here is short summary of my visit to Denmark. I had the opportunity to see the Aros Art Museum in Aarhus. The multi-story building housed a collection of various art genres, from the Renaissance to modern art and artistic installations. I particularly liked the 19th-century works and contemporary art. An interesting fact is that Danish painters painted completely differently from, for example, Italian painters. They paid less attention to the details of figures, focusing more on the realistic depiction of the background. I also managed to see the Viking Museum in the basement of a bank in Aarhus. I also visited the old town with a reconstruction of old buildings. I was also with my boss in the town of Ribe, where the first traces of Vikings were discovered, and we visited the local museum. We also went to see the flood barriers and a place that becomes an island at low tide. We also had the chance for a quick walk around the German town of Flensburg.
